Activities
pastoral Animation and prayerThe IKUE proposes eucharistic celebrations in Esperanto at the time of meetings esperantists (great annual world congress, specific conferences of associations or simple weekends). It organizes each year its own one week international congress. Local associations and groups catholic esperantists propose also meetings (biblical weekends, camps of young people…) with prayer of the Hours, chains, conferences, pilgrimages etc
Interreligieux Oecumenism and dialog
The diversity of the world espérantophone and the fraternity which reign facilitate the interreligieuses meetings there. Since 1968 Protestant association and catholic association organize their international congress unit one year out of two. The most important book of prayer in Esperanto, Adoru, was published in collaboration with Christians of the whole world.
Charitable action and works
The IKUE supports missions (micro-economic orphanages, schools, churches, wells, projects) in several countries of Africa (Benign, Burundi, Congo, Rwanda, Togo like Madagascar).
Edition and information
Priests and the laic ones regularly work to publish the Bible in Esperanto, like various publications: missals, encyclicals, books of song and prayer… The review of the IKUE, Espero Katolika (4 numbers per annum), as well as the emissions in Esperanto from Radio Vatican diffuse the teaching of the Church and are used as body of information between the catholic esperantists.
