International union of lawyers

Created in 1927, the international union of the lawyers (UIA) is the emanation of a group of lawyers European French-speaking people.

Objectives

  • To represent and defend the occupation of lawyer on the international scene, in the respect of the human rights.

Members

  • individual: lawyers following the occupation on a purely principal basis.

  • collective: Bar X, associations and federations of associated individual lawyers
  • : other legal professions, teaching, magistrates

Presidency

The president is elected for one year.

  • 2006-2007, president: Mr. Paulo Flaxes E Silva, Brazilian lawyer, specialist in the right of the family

Each country is equipped with a vice-president
