International tournament of Rugby to seven of Tangier

The international Tournament of Rugby to seven of Tangier , often called Tangier Sevens , is an international competition of Rugby to seven which opposes the selections of the participating countries. The tournament was created in 2003.

General information

It is the association of Rugby of Tangier which is at the origin of this tournament; born the October 18th 2001, this association gives itself for objective the creation of a school of Rugby. She is recognized by the Moroccan Royal Federation of Rugby and receives the support in her initiatives of the African Confederation of Rugby and the International Rugby Board.

The tournament is organized under the aegis of the African Confédération of Rugby, and is supported by the Moroccan royal Federation of Rugby.

To date, two international tournaments of Rugby to seven are organized on the African continent: Tangier (Morocco) and Nairobi (Kenya). These two competitions make it to the committed teams possible to position for the World Seven Tour, the world circuit of Rugby at Sept.

  • Moroccan Teams: RUC of Casablanca, USO Oujda, ART Tangier
