International of Italy

The Internationaux of Italy are a tournament of female Tennis of the circuit Professionnel WTA.

The test is organized each year with Rome (generally), mid-May, on beaten ground and in outside.

Often the very best players, concerned present themselves to it to prepare well at a few weeks of Roland Garros.

The first edition goes back to 1930, becoming Open in 1969.

With five successes, Chris Evert holds the record of victories into simple. Conchita Martinez, as for it, was essential four times consecutively between 1993 and 1996.
