International movement of the Reconciliation
The international Movement of the Reconciliation is the French branch of the International Fellowship off Reconciliation (IFOR). It was created in 1923 in Paris with the Faculty of Protestant theology.
Non-violent movement
The MIR is defined as a non-violent movement inspired of the Gospel. He works with the development and the diffusion of a theology of non-violence and intends to fight against the war in all his forms.He counted among his members and persons in charge Pasteur Henri Roser, André Trocmé, Jean Lasserre, Rene Cruse, Jean Goss and Hildegard Goss-Mayr, Theodore Monod. Two of its members were presidents of IFOR: Ambroise Monod and Marie-Pierre Bovy (1992-1996).
The MIR is member of the Protestant federation of France and chairs the French Coordination for the Decade. He is member of Non-Violence XXI, funds associative for a culture of non-violence in XXIè century.
Son seat is in Paris. It publishes the Cahiers of the Reconciliation (quarterly) since 1926.
