International gay Group

The Gay International Groupe (GIG or also International Gay Group) is a structure based with Geneva, Suisse, the purpose of which is to offer an abstract space of meeting for the foreign gays to Geneva, that they are expatriates, international or tourists. Officially recorded in the Reception center of Geneva international (CAGI), this totalize group approximately 500 members of more than 100 countries and all the continents, and coming mainly from the UNO and its agencies, representing a large variety of professions and interests. The group was created in 1994 by Yves de Matteis, a gay militnat Genevese, and is affiliated with association 360, an association LGBT member, at the Swiss level, of Pink Cross, and, with the international level, ILGA.

The GIG is only groups lgbt or gay in the merry community in Geneva with being only dedicated to the foreign gays. Its activities are:

Dinners (Canadian dressers) oganized twice per month Friday and saturdays (principal activity)
cultural Events: concerts, opera, visits with museums, places, etc
Restaurant, disco music, cinema, theater, etc
Holidays, voyages, weekends, picnics, ballades, etc
Sports activities like the notation, etc

The GIG also provides:

Plus information with the people not-French-speaking people
Of information on the rights of the homosexual people in the international organizations
Of the infos on PaCS, the law on the partnership and the residence permits for the foreign couples or binationaux
Of the councils or the news on what passed in Geneva
Information on the right to vote in Geneva (for the foreigners resident in Geneva since more than 8 years)
Information on gay tourism in Switzerland or in the area of Geneva
