International festival of soup

The International festival of soup is a popular demonstration of Lille organized by association Attacafa .

Presentation

Created in 2002, it is held each May 1st with Wazemmes, on the place of the market of Wazemmes and around the Maison madness of Wazemmes after traditional the manifestation of the workers.

The festival of soup is the occasion many animations, official or not, organized or spontaneous: concerts (sometimes impromptu), spectacle of Clown, plays old and traditional, demonstrations Capoeira etc

The festival is pretext with a contest with best the Soupe. The trophy allotted to best soup is called the ladle of gold. But only official soups are evaluated by the jury.
