International festival of geography

The International festival of geography is an annual demonstration organized with the Saint-Dié-of-Vosges since 1990. The vocation of this city for the Géographie is the consequence of the baptism of America in 1507 by the members of the Vosgean Gymnase, of which Martin Waldseemuller, authors of the first chart of the New world.

The festival is placed under the high patronage of the international geographical Union.

Great talks, table-rounds and conference-debates are supplemented by the Living room of the Book Amerigo-Vespucci, the scientific window of the Living room of the Géomatique, the geographical coffees, the exposures, the films as well as a Living room of the Gastronomy.
