International festival of film of the La Rochelle

The International festival of film of La Rochelle is a Festival of Cinéma, created in 1973, which is held each year during ten days at the beginning of the month of July. It is organized by the Association of the International festival of Film of La Rochelle (FIF-LR).

Characterized by the absence of competition, the festival presents each year several retrospectives devoted to realizers or actors, by combining the cinema of inheritance and the work S of Cinéaste S contemporary. A section is also dedicated to discovered authors still little known.

In 2006, the 34e edition of this festival recorded 72.614 entries.
