International federation of the teachers of rhythmic

The International federation of the Teachers of Rhythmic (F.I.E.R.) is the only association which represents and supports the teaching of rhythmic with the international level.

Rhythmic education, a form of musical education by the movement based on the Method Jaques-Dalcroze, owes its development and its diffusion with several generations of rythmicians.

The federation works in collaboration with the Institute Jaques-Dalcroze in Geneva, and with international organizations with cultural and educational goals.

Among its activities:

  • Of the international congresses in collaboration with the Jaques-Dalcroze Institute; exposures, spectacles;

  • an annual bulletin in French, English, German, and other languages: the Rate/rhythm .

  • an information center (secretariat) for the addresses, work of documentation and research.

One can in particular find at the F.I.E.R. the annual list of the courses and congress in the whole world, a bibliography, the list of the vocational schools of rhythmic in the world.

The Federation also publishes booklets (p. e.g. - Histoires of formerly and today , - Hellerau-Symposium , - On the development of rhythmic in various countries ).
