International federation of the automobile sport

The International federation of the Automobile Sport (FISA), named International Sporting Commission (CSI) before 1978, was the organization which managed the most important world automobile races.

This autonomous committee was created by the TRUSTED in 1922 under the name of CSI, was then deputy for him the organization of the automobile races.

In 1978, the name changed for FISA, its identical remaining goal. A little later in the years 1980, the war against the FOCA followed, which made much suffer the federation. It was finally reinstated in TRUSTED in 1993, when the latter was restructured.

Since, it is frequent to mix TRUSTED and FISA, even for facts having taken place when the two entities were distinct.
