International federation of canoe
The International federation of canoe ( International Canoe Federation in English) manages the Canoë and the Canoe-kayak on a world level.
This federation organizes in particular the Championnats of the world of canoe-kayak slalom for the Canoe-kayak slalom and the Championnats of the world of race in line canoe-kayak for the Course in line of canoe-kayak
The roots of this international federation go back to the January 19th 1924 with the foundation by the Germany, the Denmark, the Austria and the Sweden of a named international federation Internationale Repräsentantenschaft Kanusport (IRK) whose seat was with Munich, in Germany. Into 1946, the IRK is transformed into International Canoe Federation which gathers 112 national federations today.
