International federation of associations of elderly

The International federation of associations of elderly (FIAPA) is a nongovernmental international organization (OING) created in Paris on September 26th, 1980 with four European countries: Belgium, Spain, France and Italy.

Its growth is, since then, significant, since 1992, its associations members are established in 37 countries and gather 100 million members.

Currently, it is represented on the five continents and federates 150 associations or federations joining together more than 3.000 associations, which represents approximately 300 million seniors distributed on an about sixty country.

Representing their interests with the international plan, it is equipped with the advisory or participative statute near the largest international organizations: UNO, UNESCO, WHO, the Council of Europe, European Union.
