International fair of the car of Geneva

The International fair of the car of Geneva , which celebrates its centenary in 2005, is an exposure annual Automobile which forms part, with the living room of Detroit, of the more big demonstrations of this kind in the world. Its inauguration in March always takes place in the presence of the authorities Suisse S, of the Canton of Geneva and the city of the same name.

April 29th - May 7th 1905: 1st Swiss national exposure of the car and the cycle

1924 1st International fair of the car and the cycle
1926 Construction of the Exhibition center of Plainpalais for the 3rd international edition
1934 International fair of the car, the motor bike and the cycle
1939 16th international edition
1947 17th international edition (1st international auto show of the post-war period)
1982 Construction of new Palexpo with the Large-Saconnex for the 52e international edition
March 3rd - March 13rd 2005: 75e international edition (edition of the centenary)
