International experimental high school Innovating

The International Experimental high school Innovating (LP2I) or college of the Futuroscope in the past Innovating Lycée-pilote (LPI) is a college open in September 1987 on Teleport 5 of the Technopole of Futuroscope to Jaunay-Clan, close to Poitiers.

In form of Delta and equipped with an ellipsoidal sliding roof, it was conceived and carried out by the agency Architecture-studio and François-Xavier Désert, architect associated.

Characteristics of the college

the LPI , Innovating Experimental high school, is a small structure " with size humaine" who counts approximately 500 pupils and students. It became in 2007, at the time of its 20th birthday LP2I by adding a second " officially; I" with LPI, that of international.

Since the re-entry the 2007 LP2I is, by the adhesion of teachers, associated member of the FESPI (Federation of the innovating public schools).

the LP2I, for its 20 years, has received pupils and students of all nationalities at the time of the international week which is also the week of the Day Open doors (JPO). The next JPO will be held the Saturday, March 15, 2008 .

In addition to the school records of the pupil, contrary to the other establishments, the inscription with the LP2I requires a covering letter; the recruitment of the LP2I is not a recruitment of even international national sector but.

Side pedagogy, 13% of the time of teaching is devoted to diversified activities:

Activities complementary to formation (ACF): carried out project equips some (12 to 15 pupils) over one school year mixing all the levels (seconds, first and final of all horizons (S, L, STI, ES etc) and assisted by professors and outside contributor. With the end of the year, all the ACF support their project in front of a jury made up parents of pupils, former students, personnel of the establishment which decrees a final note on 26. A ACF having obtained more than 12/18 with the first part and more than 6/8 with second is validated, if not it is not it!
Needs, deepening, followed (BAS): in all the disciplines, scéances of teaching are proposed by the teachers in dialog with the pupils, and are chosen thereafter freely by the pupils, according to their needs for support or deepening.

the LP2I also accommodates the BTS IRIS (Data-processing and Networks for Industry and the Engineering services) and WAXED (Industrial Control and Automatic Regulation).
