International airports of Brussels
The agglomeration of Brussels is served by the two principal airports of Belgium , but none is located on the territory the Région Brussels-Capital, this one being in fact an city-area. It is about:

the Airport of Brussels (in Dutch: Luchthaven Zaventem ), located in Flemish Area, with a about fifteen kilometers of the downtown area of the Belgian capital, towards the east. It is mainly on the commune of Zaventem. It is the largest airport of the country.

the Airport of Charleroi Brussels-South, located in Walloon region, with a around fifty of kilometers of the Area Brussels-Capital, towards the south. It is with Gosselies, close to Charleroi. It is the second airport of the country, for the passenger traffic, with approximately 2 million people transported in 2005.
