International airport of Tozeur-Nefta

The international airport of Tozeur-Nefta (rear RTL مطارتوزرنفطةالدولي) (Code AITA: TOE , Code ICAO: DTTZ ) serves Tozeur and Nefta and more generally all the south-west of the Tunisia. Located at 4 kilometers in the North-West of Tozeur, it is put in exploitation on November 1st 1978.

Of a Surface of 690 Hectare S, the Aéroport is primarily attended by the charters, only the Tunisian companies Tunisair and Sevenair ensuring of the scheduled flights. Its activity is primarily related to the routing of tourists coming to visit the Tunisian south with the doors of the the Sahara. The peak season of this airport thus corresponds to the autumn and the winter.

From a capacity of 400.000 of passengers per annum, the air terminal extends on 6500 m ². In 2006, it accommodates 80.667 passengers.

Like all the Tunisian airports, the airport is managed by the Office of the civil aviation and the airports (OACA).
