International Taca Airlines

TACA is an airline company of Latin America, born with Tegucigalpa, the Honduras. Become TACA International Airlines (Code AITA: MT ; Code ICAO: TAI ), it from now on is based with the El Salvador but belonged to a group which extends in the Central America and the Peru.

History

  • In 1931, is founded the company Transportes Aéreos Centroamericanos (TACA) in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, by Lowell Yerex, like a company of freight. It begins its operations with a single-engined aircraft Stinson.

  • 1989 - 1995: TACA develops with an strategic alliance with Aviateca (Guatemala), Lacsa (Costa Rica) and Nica (Nicaragua), while becoming group TACA.
  • 1998: beginning of the restoration of the fleet which is composed of the most important purchase of Airbus A319 and A320 of the history.
  • 2001: in addition to its two platforms of correspondence in Central America, Lima becomes about it the hub for South America, thanks to the creation of TACA Perú.
  • 2004: from now on TACA, Transportes Aéreos del Continente Americano connects 34 cities in 19 country.
