Intermarché is a commercial sign general practitioner of the group French of Large distribution the Musketeers founded in 1973. It replaced the transitory sign Ex (1969-1973) resulting from the scission of the grouping of independent E.Leclerc.

Jean-Pierre Roch founder and first president of this sign franchized, ensured the direction until 1994 of it, directly then via the grouping the Musketeers made necessary by the creation of other signs.

Sales outlets

In 2007, Intermarché has 1.269 stores in all France.

The entire surface of sale of the whole of the stores is of 2.057.829 m ² on average, that is to say a little more than 1.600 m ² by store.
