Interior Gateway Protocol
Internal Gateway Protocol ( IGP ) is a protocol of Routage used in the autonomous systems. The IGP the most used are RIP, OSPF and IS-IS.
When one uses protocols of routing of the type BGP in a network, the received roads have a next hop which is not directly connected forcing. The IGP is used to determine these " next hops".
