Interallied Price

The price Interallié is a Literary prize French decreed each year since 1930, and which rewards a novel written by a Journaliste.

The price was founded the December 3rd 1930 by about thirty journalists who lunched with the Cercle of the interallied Union with Paris while waiting for the deliberations of the ladies of the Femina.

The jury is composed of ten male journalists, to which joint the prize winner of the previous year. The Price is given at the beginning of November, after the Prix Goncourt, at the Parisian restaurant Lasserre. Only honorary, and although it makes without any doubt climb the sales, this price is not accompanied by any pecuniary reward.

Grasset and the Interallied one

It should be noted that, of long time, some disrespectful called this literary prize the price Intergrasset . That can be explained by the strong proportion of the “authors Grasset” among the prizes winner (28 out of 71) but still by a considerable representation of the aforesaid “Grasset authors” within the jury and by the annual average, in the preselection published by the jury of the price Interallié , of two works published in this editor.
