Interaction of galaxies
The interaction of Galaxie S is the result of the disturbance of a galaxy by the gravitational Champ of a second and reciprocally. An example of minor interaction is the case of a satellite galaxy disturbing the arm of a primary Spiral galaxy. A major example of an interaction would be the collision and the meeting of two galaxies.
Interaction with a satellite
A giant galaxy which interacts with its satellite is a common situation. The gravity of a satellite could attract one of the arms of a primary spiral galaxy; or even, the satellite could plunge in these primary elections (i.e the dwarf galaxy of Sagittarius). This could start the formation of a Amas of stars. The satellite could swallow , aspire some of these primary stars, or vice versa.
Collision of galaxies
The collision of a galaxy is an ordinary thing in the evolution of this one. The collision can lead to the " mixture of galaxies ". It is most radical of the interactions between galaxies. That arrives when two galaxies run up and that they do not have enough speed to carry on their way after the collision. Instead of that, they fall down one on the other and end up meeting, thus forming a new galaxy. If one of the interacting galaxies is larger than the other, it will remain overall intact after the meeting; that being, the appearance of the largest galaxy will not change much whereas the small galaxy is slack and forms integral part of the large galaxy. The collisions are less violent that fusions if the two galaxies can always Re-separate after the collision.
