Integrism

The integrism is doctrines aiming at maintaining the totality of a Système or a Religion. It is connected with the religious fundamentalism.

General information

It is the attitude and frame of mind of certain followers of the system which, in the name of a intransigent respect of the tradition, wish that there remain fixed.

Because of the topicality of these last years this word became a synonym of Fanatisme in the usual vocabulary, which it was not front. It is thus necessary to be conscious of the fact and sure of what people mean when they use this mot.

Concept of " respect intransigeant" , which is connected in first approach with the spirit of rigor, raises in fact of a dialectical amalgam between the two contradictory concepts which are the requirement of rigor and the Rigorisme (see page of homonymies of the word Rigueur).

The term of “laic integrism” appeared recently within the framework of debates on secularity, the communarism and the religion.
