Instituto Nacional de Industria
The Instituto Nacional de Industria (literally national institute of industry) was an entity of the Spanish state created by Juan Antonio Suanzes Fernandez, in 1941 for the period Franquiste to promote the industrial development and the self-sufficiency of the Spanish economy.
Company created
The INI was on the initiative of many group which is heavy trucks of the current market Spanish but which are currently for the majority independent of the state. These companies are: Ensidesa (steel, in the bosom of Aceralia currently), Enasa (Truck), Seat, In this, Endesa (energy), Endasa (aluminum), IN Calvo Sotelo (one of the entities which constituted Repsol), IN Bazán (armament), IN Santa Bárbara (armament), Atesa (turn operator), Entursa… Some of enter they start with the letters IN which meant Empresa Nacional, literally National company.
History
In 1944, the nationalization of Iberia is decided, the company will be integrated into the INI and became really only in 2001. During the Eighties, the entry of Spain in the European Community involves the privatization of the entities create, the institute thus lose its influence and a new entity is created, SEPI for managed the credits still in its possession in 1992.
