the Institute off Electrical and Electronics Engineers or IEEE (which one can pronounce “I three E”) is a non-profit organization. The IEEE is the professional organization who counts the most members, and has various branches in several parts of the world. The purpose of the IEEE consists of engineers electricians, of data processing specialists, professionals of the field of the Télécommunications, etc the organization is to promote knowledge in the field of electric engineering.

The IEEE takes part in several activities generally associated with the professional organizations, such as:

Critical

Many people show the IEEE of a position close to the monopoly in certain scientific disciplines. During a publication in the IEEE, the author is forced to give up his copyrights in favor of the IEEE which then as well resells the article in its newspaper as on line without any benefit for the author or the relecteurs. The expenses of participation in the meeting are them also shamefully high, more especially as the publication in the IEEE newspaper is almost obligatory to obtain a recognition in certain scientific communities.
