Institute off Sri Ramchandra Consciousness

The Institute off Sri Ramchandra Consciousness is a spiritual organization which was founded in 1991 to diffuse the system of Rajah Yoga recommended by Sri Ramchandra Maharaj de Shahjahanpur (Uttar Pradesh, India).

Historical origin

In 1945, Sri Ramchandra, also called Babuji, founded the Shri RAM Chandra Mission to diffuse the Sahaj Marg, its adapted teaching of the Rajah Yoga.

K.C. Varadachari met it in 1953 and became one of its more faithful disciples. It has even founded Sahaj Marg Research Institute in 1965 in Tirupati. His/her son Sri K.C. Narayana took the direction of it after the death of Babuji in 1983 at the request of his successor Shri Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari.

However, if Sri K.C. Narayana recognizes that Babuji indicated Shri Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari to succeed to him the presidency of SRCM, he affirms that Babuji indicated forever of spiritual representative to succeed to him.

In addition, Narayana just like his/her father K.C. Varadachari noted serious drifts in spiritual teaching. The permanent search for new candidates and the increase in the financial needs for the structure involved a reduction in the quality of teaching.

Because of these discords, Sri K.C. Narayana finally left SRCM and the direction of Sahaj Marg Research Institute in 1991 to create the ISRC in August of the same year. There is thus no spiritual representative to the ISRC with Babuji share.

Meditation helped by the transmission

The transmission (pranahuti) is the principal specificity of the system of Rajah Yoga of Sri Ramchandra.

The word Pranahuti comes from Prana and Ahuti. Ahuti is an offering often carried out at the time of the religious ceremonies, Prana means the life and the force of the life.

Pranahuti is deed of a pure and simple assignment of the divine will by a person made near the candidate to accompany it in his spiritual advance. This transmission takes place thanks to the assistance of the Master eternally present, via his tutors. The Master said that in his absence it would be very difficult, even impossible, to reach the last stages of the spiritual practice (sadhana).

The Master is that which knows, that which makes. The capacity to carry out the transmission is only given to the people who are beyond the kingdoms of individuality, in the highest plans of the conscience. The tutors of the ISRC work under the spiritual Order of K.C. Varadachari.
