Institute of biotechnology of the plants

the institute of biotechnology of the plants (IBP) is a mixed unit of research of CNRS located at Orsay, on the university campus of the Université Paris-South. It was inaugurated in 1994.

Research orientations

The competence of the researchers gathered with the IBP makes it possible to achieve the work distributed according to 3 axes:

  1. indication and metabolism,
  2. genome and development,
  3. genome and environment.

Among the researchers of the IBP appear professors Graham Noctor, CAD-Xiu Zhou, Martin Kreis, Jean-Louis Prioul, Jean Vidal, Mickael Hodges, Patrick Saindrenan. Thierry Langin is director of the institute since the 2006.

Teaching

The Master “Sciences of the plant” (ScV), under the responsibility of Martin Kreis and Marc Julien of AgroParisTech, form of the specialists in the various fields in the plant (physiology, molecular biology, agronomy, biotechnology, environment).
