The Institute of Legal and Economic Studies of Périgueux (IEJE), is, on the institutional level, an antenna of the Université Montesquieu Bordeaux IV, based with Pessac.

Historically the IEJE has a strong local establishment. During its creation in 1969, it fell within the competence of the Town of Périgueux. Today more than 80% of the students are originating in the the Dordogne.

The IEJE counts in 2007,346 students and several formations: Right, AES, ED3S, Capacity in right.

Since 2004, the buildings are with the University Site of Périgueux of Grenadière. Offer formation to the IEJE

Life Coed

The life coed of the IEJE is animated by Friendly Students of Périgueux (AEP). The AEP is an association of students creates in 1987 according to the example of Friendly of the Students in Right which existed in Bordeaux. Association is rather active. She constitutes a reference mark for the former students. She is defined as asyndicale and apolitical. It is under this label that it introduces candidates to the elections of the Councils of the University. The AEP is member of U.N.E.D.E.S.E.P. and supports the representative organization PDE.
