Institute Curie
The Institut Curie is a deprived foundation with nonlucrative goals, whose principal activities are on the one hand the comprehension of the mechanisms of carcinogenesis with a research center in Biophysique, cellular Biologie and Oncologie and on the other hand the treatment of cancers with hospital Claudius Régaud. This institute is street of Ulm in the 5th district of Paris.
History
The Curie institute was founded by Marie Curie and Claudius Regaud and recognized public utility in 1921.The institute is also in load of the center of Protonthérapie of Orsay, one of the rare infrastructures of this type in the world.
Museum Curie
Located at the 11 Street Pierre-and-Marie-Curie, the entry of the museum is free, this last has of a space of permanent exposure and a resource center histories on the radioactivity and the cancerology. Guided visits and conferences are also organized, free they too.
