Saint Jose lived at the 7th century, at the same time in Brittany and in the north of the France. Festival : the December 13rd.

The name Jose comes from Latin Judocus , but this one returns certainly to the Celtic root iud (= combatant, chief, lord). It is at the origin of derived Jocelyn, Jocelyne, Josselin, Josseline, or Josquin and Jospin.

It is today the commune of Saint-Jose (or Saint-Jose-on-Sea), in the Pas-de-Calais, whose church preserves the essence of its relics. It should be noted that a commune of Belgium bears the same name (Saint-Jose-ten-Noode), as well as a hamlet with Tortefontaine (62) called Saint-Jose-with-Wood
