Insane to untie

Insane to untie (original title: Matti da slegare ) is a Italian Documentary film of Marco Bellochio, left in 1975.

Synopsis

This documentary is inspired by the experiment undertaken by Franco Basaglia, Psychiatry out the walls , starting from 1968. Noting the catastrophic state of the public Psychiatry in Italy, Basaglia initiates a basic reflection on the origin of the Folie and places it the insane ones in the company.

This document follows the course of three young adults, left the Psychiatric hospital to lead a “normal life” while working to the Usine. Filmed with respect and decency, these “insane” moves us by their simplicity, just like the factory workers who make them a place without making history.
