THEY

THEY ( I nstrument L anding S ystem) is an assistance system with the landing which makes it possible the aircraft to arrive near the track and function of the classification of the installation until guidance ground on the axis of track.

The MLS (Microwave Landing System) This system is an evolution of THEY. It makes it possible to determine curved trajectories and thus an approach of the track starting from several entrance points as well as a rate of descent adaptable to the performances of various apparatuses. The development of this system is in competition with that of the new system baseds on satellite navigation and its future is dubious.
