Informix
Informix is a relational Database. In 2001, this company was bought by IBM.
The history of Informix starts in 1981. Initially, it is derived from the database Ingres. The other software which is derived from Ingres is:
- Microsoft SQL Server;
- PostgreSQL ;
- the database of the editor Sybase.
Until the middle of the years 1990, the Informix database was the most frightening competitor of the database Oracle.
