Information system for the command of the forces

The information system for the command of the forces (SICF) is an assistance system with the command of the level of the staffs of design (army corps, Division, Brigade) within the Army (France). It is developed by Thalès. It is composed of software and functions integrated into the Windows environment from Microsoft.

Its mail system, allows, by the preformatting of the usual tactical messages, an important time-saver in the drafting and the diffusion of the orders. Those are primarily written in a graphic way, using funds of charts. For this reason SICF includes/understands a traditional tool of transport, resting on Outlook, and a tool of transport known as " formelle" coming to superimpose itself on it.

In addition, several cartographic tools come to assistance of the staffs in the analysis of the situations and the development of the orders.

SICF being necessarily supported by a data-processing network, the division of the data between the various users makes it possible each one of them to be constantly informed, and to react as fast as possible.

System SICF is deployed and been useful by the BTAC, Brigade of Transmission and Support to the Command, of which it is only one of many SIC, Communication and Information systems.

The SICF is interopérable with the information systems for the command of the other armies (Air force (France) and National marine), like with the allied systems.
