Infonie
Old FAI French created in October 1995 by Christophe Sapet. It is one of the first French FAI with Wanadoo (France Telecom), AOL (America One line) and CompuServe.
Like AOL, Infonie aimed at a family target and especially wished to propose a bouquet of services in an environment closed (interface owner) named " Ladybird". The access to the Web was almost additional but it was without counting the fulgurating success of Internet sites.
Particularly rich in contents, the offer comprised a software of dialog on line, " the talkie" (prefiguration of the cats).
Infonie was repurchased by Belgacom which then resold it with Tiscali. Tiscali France having disappeared with the profit from Alice via a repurchase by Telecom Italia.
