A Désinfibulation is necessary (generally at the time of the Mariage) to allow to the Coït Vagin Al a woman can undergo several Réinfibulation S and Désinfibulation S during its life.
Practical
The infibulation is a practice nelle Tradition certain people. There exist several alternatives of this mutilation, often carried out in partnership with the Excision clitoridienne and the ablation of the Petites lips.The infibulation itself consists in general of the incision of the edge of the large lips over almost all their length, then their joining one with the other, covering the urinary Méat and the entry of the Vagin; it leaves only one tiny very posterior Pertuis (with the back) for the passage of the Urine and the Règles.
The Suture, the Cicatrisation of fastening of what remains ablation partial of both large lips, will have to be separate (Désinfibulation) at the time of the Mariage.
The woman is frequently réinfibulée during her Grossesse S to be again désinfibulée before each Accouchement, just as at the time of prolonged absences of her husband.
Such mutilation must be realized by a surgeon, but in certain countries, in fact the Exciseuse S generally carry out the infibulation then which carries out the desinfibulation later, under inappropriate conditions (inadequate instruments, not sterilized, without Anesthésie…), involving great sufferings, as well as risks of severe Hemorrhage and of Infection.
Désinfibulation
The desinfibulation is an inversion partial of the infibulation; a desinfibulation is necessary above all Coït Vagin AlThe desinfibulation consists in dividing the Suture formed by the joining of the Grandes lips on the line of centers in order to give access to the external opening of the vagina and by consequence to allow the practice of the vaginal sexual relations. The woman réinfibulée during her Grossesse also requires a desinfibulation (broader) before her Accouchement.
The desinfibulation also makes it possible to release the urinary Méat and to find a urinary Miction normal.
Following the desinfibulation, it is usual to ask the couple to have frequent sexual relationships to avoid the joining and secondary reinfibulation.
Réinfibulation
The Réinfibulation is a new joining of the lips previously separated by a Désinfibulation. According to the local practice, a new joining of the Grandes lips can be necessary:- after separation of the spouse (by death, divorce…);
- after the childbirth, under the pretext that the Sexual relationships would be thus more pleasant for the man, or which it would not be conceivable to have “the exposed vulva”.
A reinfibulation known as secondary can occur spontaneously following a desinfibulation.
Geographical distribution
The infibulation is practiced in particular by the populations of the countries of Africa in edge of the south of the the Sahara.
