One sees while passing from slate department stores oblong, rather low and covered, and forces steamers in their building sites; one sees to rise while whirling of enormous masses of black smoke. There is a man of a true merit, Mr. Gingembre; but, like Mr. Amoros in Paris, it must devour many contrarieties. ”.
- Honore de Balzac, in its book Béatrix refers to Low-Indre and the forging mill of Indret.
“One does not hold against of such answers, especially when they are accompanied by a three hours stay in a weak inn by Low-Indre, where we lunched of fresh fish in a small room as the painters of kind paint some, and by the windows of which one intended to mugir the forging mills of Indret through the beautiful tablecloth of the Loire. By seeing how the experiments of the Experiment turned, I exclaimed: - Ah! dear Félicité! … Calyste, incompetent to suspect the councils of the nun and the duplicity of my control, made a divine pun; it cut me the word while answering me: - Let us have the memory? we will send an artist to copy this landscape. Not, I laughed, dear mom, to disconcert Calyste and I saw it well close being annoyed. - But, I say to him, there is of this landscape, this scene, a table in my heart which will never be erased, and of an inimitable color. ”
