Indra Nooyi
Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi is a businesswoman American, born the October 28th 1955 with Madras in India. August 14th, 2006, it is named managing director and president of the group PepsiCo to succeed Steve Reinemund which must take its retirement the next on October 1st.
In 2006, it is classified like the 4th most powerful woman in the world by the magazine Forbes. In 2007, it is classified 5th.
Biography
Born in India, it is graduate Indian Institute of Management of Calcutta and business school of the Université Yale (Connecticut). It begins in a company from council from Boston, before exerting positions of command in the management of Motorola and Asea Brown Boveri.Within PepsiCo which it integrated in 1994, it played a big role in the first agreement with the group of Fast-food industry Tricon for the supply of drinks in the restaurants of the chains KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell in North America, extended in 2000 to the whole world. It directed the purchase of Tropicana in 1998.
In May 2001, Indra Nooyi becomes president and finance manager of the PepsiCo group. In 2005, the The Wall Street Journal includes it in the list of the 50 women to be followed in 2005. August 14th, 2006, it is selected to become the next on October 1st, the 5th president of the group.
Married and resident of Greenwich in Connecticut, it has two girls.
