Indo-China
The Indo-China or Indochinese peninsula or continental Southeast Asia is a Péninsule continent of Asia located between the China and the India. It is surrounded in the west by the Bay of Bengal, the Mer of Andaman and the Détroit of Malacca and in the east by the southernmost China Sea. Traditionally, the mouths of the Gange formed its Western limit. It includes/understands the following countries and territories:
- the Burma
- the Kampuchea
- the Laos
- Singapore
- the Thailand
- the Vietnam
- the peninsular Malaysia, i.e. States of Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Penang, Selangor and Terengganu, federal districts of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
The expression “Indo-China” is often used to indicate the old colony of French Indo-China. The British Indo-China expression is also sometimes used to indicate the Burma at the time colonial.
