Indianism (Amerindian)

See also: Indianisme

The indianism is the politization of the Indians of America, their standpoint direct on the questions which relate to them. It is the political awakening, the maturity and the emergence of an Indian political life, the expression of its will.

This popular indianism appears at the 20th century, in particular with the period of democratization of the years 1980-1990, but it is in fact much older, all the Amerindian revolts being finally its expression.
