Independent Truck Company is a company of material of Skateboard specialized in the manufacture of the axes (or trucks ). It is probably the most famous mark in the world in this field. It was Co-founded in 1978 by Fausto Vitello, and the first model (the Stage 1 ) made its appearance the May 23rd of this year, with Newark (California). The company is based with Santa Cruz (California).

The axes Independent are known to react very quickly and very accurately to the action of the skator making use of it, ensuring stability and speed. They are distributed by NHS Distribution. Independent also has its line of clothing and accessories intended for the practice of the skateboard.

The original slogan of the company was “THEY' RE #*X^!!! HOT! ” (“P *** which they are hot! ”), their most recent slogan being “TIME TO GRIND” (“Time of grinder”).

The last model of the company, the Training course 9 , left in March 2003. It differs from the other models in what it is made of 4140 Chromium and presents the emblem of the company printed in metal making its base. Its greater characteristic is than all its editions colors are limited. The Stage 9 are famous very durable, like specifies it the Publicité, in which one always sees an axis of this model in good state after 203.516 grinds. Still lighter and powerful, the improvement of the Training course 9 , the Training course 9 LOW , left the September 9th 2006. Until now, the company does not plan to leave a Stage 10 .
