Incidentalome
A incidentalome is a neologism derived from the Anglo-Saxon expression “incidental tumor” or “incidentaloma”. It is about the evaluation of a mass of tumoral pace, discovered in Radiologie in a fortuitous way whereas the patient is asymptomatic.

This definition is not restrictive but it applies in Médecine primarily to pathology surrénalienne. It is about a very frequent problem since a mass surrénalienne is found in 1 to 4% of the examinations of abdominal imagery according to their sensitivity and their resolution (echography, TDM, IRM). More two-thirds of the incidentalomes are nonfunctional Adénome S cortical having little or not clinical consequences. However, other lesions are possible, potentially slightly secreting or malignant. In the event of antecedent of cancer, their fortuitous discovery can lead to a diagnosis and an early treatment.
