Incident of the island of Maury
The incident of the island of Maury is one of the most discussed cases of UFO, which took place in 1947, which will finally prove to be a hoax.
June 21st 1947, at the beginning of afternoon, a ship of the Coastguards of the the United States controlled by the captain Harodl Dahl patrols close to the Island of Maury, in the State of Washington. On board, are present another sailor, the son of Dahl and a dog. At this point in time according to the passengers of the ship, 6 UFO circular of about thirty meters in diameter, bored of a hole in the medium, flies over them, without noise. One of them seems to be in difficulty and loses altitude, whereas the formation is with approximately 200 meters of altitude according to Dahl. The UFO in difficulty then loses ends of fused metal, which kill a gull, the dog of Dahl and wound his/her son seriously, then the UFO take speed and disappear soon under the horizon, towards the West.
The following day, Dahl will claim that a mysterious man would have come at his place to threaten it and to intimate the order to him to keep silent itself. In addition, the photographs that Dahl had taken reveal buckled and unusable. Kenneth Arnold will come to inquire but will not find anything, and the plane which transported the metal remains which had wounded the son of Dahl is crushed.
For certain ufologists, the US government operated to make conceal Dahl and eliminate its evidence. However, the investigation will establish that Dahl and its superior, Fred Crisman, had invented this history of any parts to make itself interesting, and that the crash landing of the plane was accidental.
