Incident.net

Incident.net is a founded artistic platform in 1994 by Grégory Chatonsky and Karen Dermineur. Developing mainly experiments in network, Incident brings together various artists: Vadim Bernard, Marika Dermineur, Reynald Drouhin, Julie Morel.

Work of Incident.net develops an esthetics suitable for the network with work as Rhizomes which reconstitutes a single image on the screen of the user, image which is lodged on several waiters. Several members of the group work on the relation between fiction and narration by questioning the text like Julie Morel, the cinema like Grégory Chatonsky or the databases like Marika Dermineur.

One of the characteristics of Incident resides in the fact that its members answer themselves regularly by interposed work, one referring to the other and so on, sometimes during several years.

The out of the ordinary ones on traditional topics of the Histoire of art (landscape, naked the, draped, the Still life , the detail) are opened with the international artistic contributions.

Incident.net is today established in Paris, Dakar, Montreal and is the most important collection of Net.art in France with more than 250 lodged work.

Incident is an independent structure functioning without subsidy.
