Summary of the episode

what follows reveals key moments of the intrigue

After several years of absence, Victor Simpleton, the father of the three Halliwell sisters, reappears in their life, having discovered that they were of the witches. If Phoebe, which did not have time to know it, is charmed, Prue on the other hand does not forgive him its abandonment and refuses to regard it as their father. She even suspects it of wanting to steal their capacities to them, suspicion reinforced by a premonition of Phoebe showing Victor stealing the book of the shades.

But it is actually about the work of three new neighbors of the sisters who are not other than three demons (Marshall, Fritz and Cynda) who have the capacity to change appearance at will. Victor acknowledges to want to recover the book of the shades to protect his daughters but Prue throws it to the door, attracting itself the lightnings of his/her sisters.

The three demons, launched by Victor, decide to act and one of them takes the appearance of Victor with an aim of stealing the book of the shades, but Victor truth is likely to die. Finally, the Halliwell sisters eliminate the demons and their father is saved thanks to the alliance of protection which protected it.

Victor then leaves again San Francisco, by leaving a video cassette there recalling his Christmas last in company of his daughters. In same time, certain Léo is engaged like odd-job man in the Manor.

Victor Bennett is incarnated here by the actor Anthony John Denison but this one will not take again then its role. It is the actor James Read who will take it again starting from the fourteenth episode of season 3 the phantom city.

This episode marks the first appearance of Léo Wyatt. Of initially secondary character even without any particular role, it will take little by little importance until becoming a key character of the series.
