In the Dutch Mountains

In the Dutch Mountains is a album of The Nits published the October 31st 1987 at Columbia Records.

The album

After the publication of Henk (1986), an album méticuleusement produced but which seemed a little stripped of life, the group decided to turn over to the roots and to record the following album on two tracks under the conditions of the direct one. They recorded this new album in their own room of repetition, Werf Studio, which, according to them, reproduces the special atmosphere in a concert of the Nits .

The words of Henk Hofstede plunge in the memories of the Netherlands of the years 1950 and 1960 of its youth. The small pocket, made up of stamps of benevolence, reflects this environment. Although the children represented resemble to the members of the group enormously, they are true stamps of 1951.

In the Dutch Mountains was, at its exit, the greatest success hitherto of The Nits with the the United Kingdom and the the United States. Individual the éponyme, left the October 24th 1987, was a success in Europe and was classified 14th with signal 40 Dutch. J.O.S. Days , left the February 6th 1988, reached the 23e place. The Panorama Man also left into individual.
