In Rainbows is the seventh album of the British rock group Radiohead. It left on October 10th, 2007 in remote loading, and a box containing an additional disc will be available on December 3rd, 2007. As the group is not any more under contract with EMI, it tried a new experiment: the album in version MP3 is downloadable on their Internet site for the sum of 45 pences, to which can be added a gift whose value is at the discretion of the customer. The Gigwise.com site indicates that at dated October 12th, 2007, the album was downloaded 1,2 million times at average costs of 1£. Radiohead thus carried out a fulgurating blow of maketing.

According to another investigation, the versed average sum rises with 4£ and a third of the purchasers did not pay anything. According to information of the NewYork Times, an agreement was made with XL Recordings for a distribution of the album to the format CD apart from the United States. On this territory, an exit would be had a presentiment of at ATO Records.
