InBev

Inbev is largest brewer in the world from the volume of brewed Bière. It represents a market share of approximately 13  %, and a production of 190 million hectolitres of beer and 25 million hectolitres of Limonade S. the group employs approximately 86  000 people (2007). The head office is located at Leuwen (Belgium), at the same place as that of Interbrew. The American seat of exploitation is with São Paulo, Brésil. Interbrew has however well sorrow to justify this mégafusion near the investors and of the financial analysts. The economies generated by fusion would be assembled to 280 million euros (as from 2007).

The investments currently concentrate on three world marks: Stella Artois, Beck' S and Brahma. Exist also several other internationally known marks, such Jupiler, Hoegaarden (white beer), Staropramen, Leffe, Bass, Tennents or Labatt. InBev promotes very many marks in addition locally.

InBev created chains of bars and breweries to sell its products directly: in France, it represents 200 signs.

History

The March 3rd 2004, Interbrew (resulting from the fusion of the breweries Stella Artois based with Leuwen in Belgium and Piedbœuf based with Jupille also in Belgium) amalgamated with the Brazilian brewer Companhia de Bebidas das Americas (AmBev) to form InBev. InBev consequently became the first brewer in the world, with a market share of approximately 13  %, and a production of 190 million hectolitres of beer and 25 million hectolitres of Lemonade S.
