Impulsiveness

Key notion in the field of emotional sciences and the Psychopathology, impulsiveness is not defined in a mot. In order to encircle with more close what this term recovers, the theory distinguishes four complementary facets: Lack of perseverance, the absence of premeditation, the search for feelings and urgency.

  1. the urgency is included/understood like impossibility of inhibiting an answer dominant or automatic, particularly in positive or negative emotional situations, leaves to regret it thereafter.

  2. the lack of perseverance returns to the difficulty of concentrating on a task, without being inattentive or disturbed by intrusive thoughts or memories.
  3. the absence of premeditation corresponds to an incapacity to take into account the positive or negative consequences of an action, on the basis of emotion lived in a similar solution.
  4. the search for feelings appears by a research constancte new experiments and exitantes.
