Imoen

Imoen is a character of fiction, present in the video games Baldur' S Gate and Baldur' S Gate II as well as the extension of this last Throne off Bhaal .

The character

It grew with the main character (you, a priori) and proves during the second opus to be his half-sister, and thus also girl of Bhaal, Seigneur of the murder.

Especially presents to the beginning of Baldur' S Gate I, the character acquires in thickness in Shadows off Amn , the second episode, of which it becomes one of the main characters. Its divine ascent also makes of it a capital character of the extension, Throne off Bhaal .

Symbolic system in Baldur' S Spoils II

This essential figure of the famous series plays in the symbolic system of Baldur' S Gate II the role of “female share” of the hero, who it will have to go to seek in the mysterious prison of Spellhold, a labyrinth (in which the presence of monsters such as minotaure, symbol of animal passions of the man is not either innocent) before reconquering its heart which was concealed to him by malefic Irenicus. The question of the duality and female behalf of the man, treated in all mythologies, is particularly development in the play. Imoen appears several times besides dreams some during the play, like a representation of the subsoils of the heart of the hero, during his captivity.

Development

Imoen then was the subject of a MOD signed “Lord Mirrabo”, Imoen Romance . The incestueux character of the relation which the hero with his half-sister can then nourish reinforces much the blur, and perhaps the depth of the character, but night with the clearness of the symbolic system development in the original play.
